Example of incidents

A young worker severed his finger at the first joint when he attempted to prune a hedge with electric shears while holding a branch of the hedge.

  • Cut away from yourself.
  • ALWAYS HAVE BOTH OF YOUR HANDS ON THE MACHINE
  • Always turn the machine completely off if you don’t use it and never leave it unattended. Kids and other people can try to use the machine and get injured.
  • Use something to protect your eyes if it’s needed.
  • Do not climb on a ladder higher than 2 meters when you work with the hedge trimmer.
