Working with electricity
220-volt equipment, one should never perform work on 220-volt equipment. Always call an electrician.
Socket etc., if you need to remove a socket or similar then you have to turn off the fuse. Test with equipment (lamp, charger etc.) that it is not power in the socket or lamp. If when it is no power left, put a piece of tape over the fuse, so no one can switch on the fuse before electrician has arrived. One should never mount back a socket or similar.
If the cord is mounted to the wall, the job must be performed by an electrician (law).
If you are unsure, ask the electrician or your immediate supervisor.
Car battery, although car battery is 12 volts, it has high ampere making it very dangerous. One should always be careful that the Minus and Plus pole never get a full circle through you or any equipment you are working with.
Fuse, if a fuse blow you must find out why the fuse has blown, BEFORE you turn it up again.
There is always a reason why the fuse has blown. The reason may be that there is something wrong with the system and if you then turn the fuse on again, one can create a dangerous situation.
Example, if there is an error that created an "almost fire" and the fuse is blown because of it, and you turn it on again (without fixing the error), there can be created sparks or etc that starts a fire.
If you don’t know why the fuse have “blown” then you have to ask your closest leader about what to do.
If your leader tell you to turn it back on you have to check if you smell anything in all the areas where the fuse give power. (Check also after 15 minutes)
